ROLE: This is a new role to Sofar, as we look to build our new Audience Development Team to expand user activation, engagement, and retention as part of our Growth Team. This role will primarily focus on products and campaigns that inspire audience members to become a more integral part of the Sofar community.

The role sits in our New York office with our Audience Development Director.

POSITION TITLE: Loyalty Marketing Manager

REPORTING TO:  Audience Development Director

LOCATION: New York City

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage audience loyalty and retention efforts across multiple platforms

  • Help plan, execute and optimize audience activation and retention efforts across email (including automation), web, in-person events, paid media campaigns and other relevant channels

  • Brainstorm and test new ways to encourage audience loyalty and engagement

  • Assist in deploying and analyzing A/B tests towards the goal of increasing customer retention

  • Work alongside Sofar’s Brand Team to source effective content to engage our existing audience. Collaborate with Growth Team colleagues on campaign strategy and support Commercial Team campaigns.

  • Create and maintain relevant media plans

  • Collect audience feedback by deploying targeted surveys about Sofar retention and referral products

  • Support all aspects of Sofar’s growing membership program by planning relevant acquisition and retention campaigns

  • Consistently look to support other teams and improve our process

Sofar’s Audience Development Team is looking for an ambitious and creative team member who puts forth the drive to achieve goals and exceed them. We are looking for a well-rounded person who thinks outside of the responsibilities listed above.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Essential:

  • 2+  years working in digital marketing, specifically in loyalty, retention, and/or referral with experience in audience segmentation

  • Track record of identifying, designing and executing CRM campaigns that drive user loyalty and engagement

  • Experience with CRM and/or marketing platforms. Experience in working with an email service provider, managing  campaigns (email or social), and reporting results

  • Strong analytical skills, with a pedigree in testing, optimization, and data-driven insight

  • Outgoing and curious about people, you don’t mind jumping into a customer service issue, surveying audiences or digging through email lists  

  • Methodical thinker, constantly looking for ways to improve performance, process, or culture

  • You enjoy creating and maintaining media plans!

  • Possess a strong interest in music

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment

  • Previous experience with Sofar

  • Understanding of the existing live and recorded music industry

  • Experience managing VIP groups, online communities, subscription services or membership programs

  • Preferred experience with Excel (bonus for SQL and/or HTML), Tableau, Survey Monkey, Typeform or other tools to collect and analyze audience data

  • You have channel expertise in either paid media or email marketing

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
